Originally constructed in the late 1920s, Buttrick Hall has undergone a complete renovation and addition that increased its size from 38,000 to more than 90,000 square feet. The new space includes classrooms, lecture halls, interdisciplinary program offices and an atrium for use by undergraduate and graduate students. The renovated building is equipped to support academic conferences, public lecture series and the growing needs of Vanderbilt’s transinstitutional centers. Completion date: August 2005
